DeaDBeef è un player audio minimale,scritto in C e C+-. Supporta i principali formati audio quali mp3, ogg vorbis, flac, ape, wv, wav, permette la riproduzione di file nel nostro pc, o dai DVD / CD e in rete (last.fm). Ottimo Player lo consiglio su Pc che hanno poca ram o su Distribuzioni come Lubuntu e Xubuntu appunto per le poche risorse richieste.

Per installare DeaDBeef 0.4.3 su Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick, 10.04 Lucid utilizzeremo i PPA deadbeef per farlo avviamo il terminale e digitiamo:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexey-smirnov/deadbeef
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install deadbeef
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install deadbeef
e confermiamo.
