Qwit è un client Twitter, scritto in Qt4, semplice e leggero e completo di tutte le caratteristiche “normali” che vi aspettereste da un client Twitter sono presenti, e molte sono ben implementate.
Qwit supporta diversi servizi di abbreviazione degli indirizzi e di caricamento delle immagini e praticamente tutto quello che vorreste voler cliccare è cliccabile, anche se in molti casi si limita ad aprire dei link in un browser. Nella nuova versione è stato integrato il nuovo metodo d’autentificazione Twitter denominato OAuth, aggiunto anche il supporto per caricare le immagini twitpic e aggiunto il supporto multi account)

- identi.ca, aitu.kz and other twitter-compatible services support (not tested as much as needed);
- OAuth support.
Per installare il nuovo Qwit 1.1 Pre su Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid basta scaricare i 2 pacchetti posti sotto (mi raccomando installare prima libqoauth1 e poi qwit)
